Susan Shulman Pertnoy
Immediate Past-Chair, Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County
Susan Shulman Pertnoy is one of the most vital leaders in Jewish Palm Beach. She served as Board Chair of the Jewish Federation from 2022 to 2024 and helped launch Federation’s groundbreaking initiative, Campaign for the Future, ensuring Jewish Palm Beach remains a thriving community today, tomorrow and forever. In 2024, Susan received Federation’s highest honor, the Jeanne Levy Community Leadership Award, in recognition of her lifetime of service.
Susan holds several national and international leadership positions, including serving on the Executive Board of Directors for Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), as Chair of the JFNA Emergency Committee, a member of the Jewish Agency for Israel’s Board of Governors, and as a Board Member of the Jewish Agency’s North American Council. She is also a Member of the National Board of the Birthright Israel Foundation and a Trustee of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy.
In the Palm Beaches, Susan currently serves on the Board of Federation’s Palm Beach Center to Combat Antisemitism & Hatred. She has previously served on Federation’s Israel & Overseas Committee and Women’s Philanthropy, as Board Chair of the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches, and in senior leadership roles with Alpert Jewish Family Service and Temple Emanu-El of Palm Beach.
She is the longtime host of Federation’s award-winning TV news magazine, mosaic, which features exclusive interviews with influential thought leaders and explores issues affecting the local and global Jewish communities.
Susan and her husband, Ronnie Pertnoy, are founding members of The Fund for West Palm Beach Police. She received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University, currently works in real estate development in Palm Beach, and is the proud mother of six and grandmother of eight.
