Judy Gross married Alan Gross in 1970, and they recently celebrated their 40th anniversary, though while he was in Cuba and she was in the U.S. Together they have two daughters. The family resides in the Washington DC area.
Alan Gross is a humanitarian aid worker who was arrested in Cuba on December 3, 2009. In March 2010, he was sentenced to 15 years in a Cuban prison.
Mrs. Gross is the Program Coordinator of a Psychiatric Day Treatment Program at a Washington-area hospital. Mrs. Gross has been active in the field of women’s rights. She has served on the Board of Directors for the B’nai Brith Youth Organization, as well as serving as an advisor to several BBYO chapters . She has volunteered in various community, religious and school based organizations.
